who REALLY wants war?

let's face it: in the long ago past, war was about taking over lands. we've come a very long way from that... not communicating with weirdo people who look different from us, and dominating their lands... to a globally communicating AND TRADING world. I'm in america, and within seconds can be chatting with a stranger on the other side of the planet, that speaks a different language.. .and I do that sometimes for the fun of it.

yet, those people are almost exactly like me: just want to live, be happy, do a job, get paid, have my own little space... I don't want to kill strangers in foreign lands over things I know nothing about, and neither do they. from discussions I've had with Russians, Chinese, Japanese....

So, who REALLY wants war to continue?
Only the governments. In my perspective. Governments setup with insane budgets like 750 BILLION per year - that is going to keep war machine industries open, and all those workers and soldiers paid "to protect" while they wait.

Is war, and its supporting patriotic brainwashing, just another billion dollar business now, inbuilt requirement of modern economic structure,or is there some actual need outside paying factories and soldiers to stand by?
