Weird behavior at work?

I was close friends with someone at work for two years. All of a sudden out of the blue they say they don't want to talk to me anymore but he had the cheek to say he'll still say 'hello'. Anyhow after that he just now completely ignores me,it's baffled my head because we was getting along fine and I never spoke bad about him to anyone. He did something strange today,he came onto my floor and I noticed him spy on me around the corner to see what I was doing which is weird. It's kinda making it awkward at work. It's just not having closure either when I know I didn't do anything. How do I stop the awkwardness at work?

Awkwardness revenge!
- Congratulate him for being pregnant.
- Give him expired chocolate on valentine day.
- Send birthday cards when it's not his birthday.
- Compliment his receding hairline, tell him being a baldy is so cool.
- Ask him to teach you make paper airplanes, but use torn pages of 90s Playboy magazines. The nude pictures will be of old ladies now.

idk maybe his partner is jealous of colleagues and told them to stay away
