Magnum, P.I. (the real one of course; I wouldn't watch the ridiculous remake unless someone paid me a good deal of money to do so) is not only my favorite in the private detective category, but it's also my favorite TV show in general.
And while not a private detective show, Columbo is one of my all-time favorite shows too (Peter Falk plays a detective, just not a private one).

shareHonestly Magnum, P.I. is one of the greatest shows of all time. The stories, the setting, the backstory, and my god the chemistry between the cast is incredible. I still watch it today.
shareYeah, it's been my favorite TV show ever since I first started watching it on a regular basis in 1984 when I was 9. I have the complete series on DVD and every couple of years I watch them all.
