Do you prefer a specific era of movies, like 90's, 80's?
Q
sharenot really. there's lots of specific styles associated with certain eras that i like. there are tons of 90s & 00s indies, all those mumblecore films in particular, that i really dig. and there's lots of 70s sleaze/trash/horror that i love. & 50s noir that i've discovered in the past few years. but it's all very scattershot, nothing that i could pin down to a specific time.
shareGenerally speaking, I have a movie bell curve that seems to peak in the 60s-70s era.
share70s is definitely my favorite
80s kind of sucked, but it had some great movies in certain genres like Horror. 90s had lots of great thrillers and crime movies. Early 2000s was a mix of some extremely shitty movies and some gems. Mid 2000s to like 2015 has most of the comedies that I re-watch regularly. I'll still re-watch some comedies from the 90s, but comedy ages so fast. I can't believe I ever found Adam Sandler or Mike Myers funny (no diss to anyone who still doesdoes)
My favorite eras are 70s and 90s
Streaming has changed everything these last few years. All these streaming services competing to have their own exclusive original content has made sifting through the muck way harder, at least for me. Part of that is just getting older. I don't have the patience to watch 100 mediocre movies just to find a handful of great movies like I used to
I like any movies made in any year!
shareThere's so many good ones for various reasons, but I'll go with 90s. They were still kinda goofy, experimental and so full of wonder - feel like we don't get as much of that in films these days.
shareI like 70s and 90s movies. Not a big fan of the 80s.
