Halloween-appropriate movie recomendations starring pro wrestlers?

They Live (1988) is a great film with Roddy Piper as the lead role, though I wonder what else is out there. A couple other names come to mind, but I'll just let the discussion go from here.

Nacho Libre?

Halloween recommendations:
Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)
Vanishing on 7th Street (2010)

No blood or gore in either one.

reply

Dark Night of the Scarecrow is such a great tv movie.

reply

One of the best.

reply

Santa’s Slay starring Bill Goldberg! Sure, it’s a Christmas movie but it’s a Horror Comedy so it’s Halloween material to me!

reply

Yes, that one's a favorite. One of those movies that lets you know how crazy it's going to get from the opening scene.

reply

Absolutely wild opening. Kill off a bunch of people who are bigger stars than anyone else in the movie. Always a fun watch.

reply

I thought for sure this thread was a joke but okay’ I’m down to watch Santa’s slay!!

Doom (2005) staring "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson

Critically panned, but I kinda like it on repeat viewing. Played the video game for hours on end when I was a teen.

reply

Damn. How did I miss that.

Not a great flick but fun. The POV scene is cool.

Still waiting on a true Doom film.

reply

Stop waiting. It's your lucky day!

reply

I already tried that. It wasn’t my lucky day.

reply

Okay. But still, stop waiting.

reply

I’ll never lose hope.

reply

It's doomed from the start.

reply

How dare you invoke the name of Doom against me.

reply

In the meantime just watch this instead...

reply

That actually does look pretty fun.

reply

It's probably better than both Doom movies in existence.

reply

It IS fun!

Dhoom dhoom dhoom! 🎶

reply

I guess that's the most horror-themed movie that he's been a part of. Wowzers.

reply

See No Evil 1 & 2 with Kane

reply

Of course, of course. I'm surprised he hasn't done more, but then again who could go further in one's acting career after the zenith that is MacGruber (2010)?

reply

Predator (1987) with Jessie Ventura.

reply

How could I forget? "I ain't got time to bleed."

reply

Rampage (2018) with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and MONSTERS!

reply

And The Scorpion King (2002) also starring The Rock.

reply

True, true. Seems more like an action romp, but big buildings battered by beasts is prime monster material.

reply

Tyler Mane in the Halloween remake and sequel.

reply

Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) with Tor Johnson or Ed Wood (1994) with George "The Animal" Steele as Tor Johnson.
