Was my teacher being disrespectful towards this student?

Back in high school we were talking about forms of sexual harassment, our teacher mentioned that the previous school year there was an incident where a student got in trouble for grabbing a few girls' buttocks right in front of the student he was talking about, I knew who he was talking about and felt it was rude for the teacher to bring it up right in front of this particular student

I've forgotten all about this incident until recently and when I started thinking about it I'm like seriously.

reply

this is all very confusing, who grabbed whos cheeks?

reply

The student, the teacher had to discuss this incident right in front of the student who'd gotten in trouble the previous year for grabbing a few other classmates' buttocks

reply

A couple or were there more?

reply

there was three that I could thank of.

reply

well he shouldn't be grabbing on another persons cheeks! it's not like he shit himself and someone brought it up later to embarass him.

reply

Did the Teacher call the student out by name? If not then I'd say it was not.
Could have been meant as a subtle warning.

reply

No he didn't, I didn't think it was appropriate for him to discuss this incident in front of the classmate he was talking about.

reply

I find it hard to fathom that this teacher held any respect for the serial groper to begin with.

reply

If the teacher didn't name the student, the butt-grabbing student had nothing to complain of.

If he didn't want people to remember his bad behavior and use it as an example of how not to behave in public, then he shouldn't have behaved badly! Because remember, and believe me some of you need a reminder about this, bad behavior doesn't magically go away when punishment is completed, there's also ongoing social disapproval to deal with. And if you don't like social disapproval, don't earn it.
