i basically agree. i think it's 'horseshoe theory' on display - the fringes on either side of the spectrum end up sounding a lot alike, saying the same sort of strident things, dismissing things out of hand without actually watching them, etc.

i recall very specifically one user here, & you can probably guess who it was, telling me that the reason i must have liked into the spider-verse was because i was bowing at the altar of diversity, preying to the gods of diversity.

i'm fairly sympathetic to some of the anti-sjw stuff, in that i think too often too many people reduce all things to race and sex & whatever, & look at any kind of disparity in outcome in anything as proof of bigotry or bias. so i'm on board when people criticize those sorts of extreme ideologies.

but that doesn't mean we shouldn't listen to anyone who makes a criticism that doesn't line up with our existing beliefs. maybe they're saying something worthwhile, for heaven's sake.

The anti-SJWs are even worse than the SJWs, because at least the SJWs are right about a few things - such as racism being bad.

Plenty of assholes in both camps, but an asshole that insists that racism is good is even more unbearable than an asshole who insists it's bad.

They have always been far more annoying becasue they make 99% of the noise about "PC stuff"

I have yet to see a genuine "I'm offended by this movie because it excludes me" (or is sexist) (or not diverse enough) or whatever

What you get instead is a bunch of loaudmouths who claim they ARENT sensitive snowflakes , and yet are complaining about imaginary problems they pulled out their ass, and starting threads like "You couldnt make this film anymore , the PC police wont allow it"
