Yes. They are well built and reliable cars but expensive on repairs.
shareSo, what's a good reliable car in your opinion? I have a Toyota Rav4 which I'm happy about but would like a "change".
shareI would say in general Toyotas and Hondas are very reliable solid cars with high resale values. Nissans are also good for the money but many have transmission issues around 100k, hopefully fixed on newer models.
shareMaybe I should start leasing cars. It's "fun" to have a new car every few years. Plus, I'm self-employed, so I can write off.
shareWHITE PEOPLE PROBLEMS...AM I RIGHT?π
shareI'm a mechanic, and I've never been underneath a European car (BMW, Mercedes, VW, Audi, etc) that was more than five years old that didn't hemorrhage oil like the Exxon Valdez. They also have a ridiculous amount of completely unnecessary plastic parts that wear out, become brittle after just a few years, and break.
In addition, the most basic parts for Europeans cars are insanely hard to find, insanely expensive to buy, and the most basic of repairs require an insane amount of labor to perform.
In other words, if you buy a European car like an Audi, just be prepared to spend twice as much money on basic maintenance services, three times as much money on parts that need to be replaced (and they will), and five times as much money on labor for repairs.
Euro cars have a lot of really nice luxury features, and they're nice to drive, but they will cost you an arm and a leg in the long-run... and it's not even remotely worth it in my opinion.
Honda cars, and Toyota trucks, are the smart way to go.
