David Fincher or The Coen Brothers
Whose movies do you enjoy more? I’d go with Fincher since he has 3 masterpieces imo(Seven, Fight Club, Zodiac) and the Coens have 1 imo(No Country For Old Men)

shareI love Seven and The Social Network.
But for me the answer is easy Cohen Brothers. They have a unique style.
Blood Simple (my favorite), Barton Fink, Fargo, No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, The Man Who Wasn't There, The Hudsucker Proxy, Inside Llewyn Davis and many more.
coens - i think they've made more great films than any other currently active directors.
fargo
blood simple
lebowski
raizing arizona
inside llewyn davis
a serious man
all great to me.
fincher is terrific, but he makes the kind of movies that are loved by many but that just don't excite me very much. i'll watch fargo a billion times and love it every time. fincher just doesn't get my motor running the same way.
Coens, I'm surprised no has mentioned my favorite- Brother Where art Thou. I never had any desire to watch Fight Club. All my life I made it a habit not to hang with guys when if they can't get laid on a night out then they look to start a fight.
shareWell the Coens are my favourite film makers and Fincher wouldn’t even trouble my top 50, so there’s no comparison for me.
shareBoth have strong and weaker movies but the best of the Coens - Fargo, Inside Llewyn Davis, A Serious Man, Barton Fink, Miller's Crossing... is stronger than the best of Fincher, with the possible exception of Zodiac.
shareDavid Fincher is an obvious winner, at least in my own book. I adore his works. Moreover, I even adore Alien 3
