I always said that I'd buy a camper van and just drive around visiting places. After I'd seen all that the UK & ROI has to offer, I'd make my way over the Channel and start on on Europe then Asia.
How would you live?
1. Retire and give my Boss ample time to hire a replacement and a great big Thank You for nearly 20 years of employment
2. Purchase a hunting and fishing lodge in The Carolinas with 20-30 acres to roam and be alone
3. Buy my wife a late 60s Camaro like she had as a young Lady and still talks about
4. Gift all of my friends $10,000 each
5. Escape From New York
I'd give the bulk of the money away, probably put it into a charitable foundation.
I'm a person of simple needs! A 1BR condo beside the ocean, a little cabin in the mountains, a nice camper in which to see North America, a reasonable travel and dining budget, and I'm set!

Retire.
Hire a chauffeur, housekeeper, assistant and private chef.
Country home, city home, home on the beach, home in Europe.
Travel on my leased jet and yacht.
Share with relatives and friends.
Create a charitable foundation.
Create private schools for underprivileged children w/free tuition.
Create a PAC and buy a few politicians.
Buy investment properties, businesses and become a venture capitalist to further increase my net worth in order to:
Buy Star Wars and redo the sequel trilogy.
I'd give a WHOLE BUNCH of money to the grade school which we visited in Arusha, Tanzania in 2017. The school had no running water or electricity, but the kids were WONDERFUL, HAPPY and LOVABLE! They all were hanging out the windows
as we arrived, laughing, waving, and shouting "Jambo! Jambo!" (hello and goodbye in Swahili). I looked behind our three safari trucks to see if some celebrities were arriving after us, but no, it was all for us.
When we went to take a photo, they all scrambled to be in the picture, and laughed and shouted when I showed them the
photo from the back of my camera. They were just amazing, and changed my world view just a bit. I sent them photos and some money, and asked if they received it. I even enclosed a self address envelope. Sadly, I never heard back from them.

shareI would invest a part of the money, as well as renovate/fix a couple of things in the house, doing all this for the children.
May be I would take also a sabbatical year and visit (e.g.) Japan, California The Galapagos Insel or Chile and maybe, I would also evaluate the possibility to have my own business.
Save it. I'm not a big spender.
