60s...Planet of the Apes
70s..The greatest dark movies of all time, that I don't want to watch.

When it comes to modern 50s TV shows, I agree.... Although there were some great ones like "Wanted: Dead or Alive" and "The Rifleman"

And the past isn't all that much different from the present, as fantasy has always packed them in. They talk about the "gritty, natural" of the 70s, but you can't talk about that decade without bringing up the birth of the blockbusters -- like Star Wars and Jaws.
