Wow! You da man! Enjoy Back To The Future!

😎

reply

And the great thing, she’ll get the Star Wars joke in it now.

reply

Please refresh my memory. Which joke is that?

😎

reply

The bit where Marty dresses up as an alien, wakes his Dad up and uses the ‘it is your destiny’ line on him.

reply

LAST NIGHT ,DARTH VADER CAME DOWN FROM PLANET VULCAN.AND HE TOLD ME THAT IF I DIDN'T TAKE LORAINE(TO THE DANCE),THAT HE'D MELT MY BRAIN.

reply

Yes of course! Thanks.

😎

reply

Don't forget her Star Wars Halloween costume this Fall. That's a must for a padiwan Star Wars fan!

reply

That is a super idea.

reply

what has she done wrong to deserve this?

reply

History is important, good or bad.

reply

Only 2 of all Star Wars movies have an age rating below FSK12.

reply

I’m a terrible parent - what can I say.

reply

Nonsense, you are TOPS Amigo👍

reply

Looks like I'm currently being schooled on parenthood by our latest incumbent. I shan't be feeding it.

reply

what a grown up reaction.

You know that it's wrong, I'm not pointing out anything new to you.
So let's please keep personal attacks to a minimum, I'm just the messenger.

reply

I find your lack of trolling skills disturbing. Please try harder.

reply

you've been told the conditions for a civilized discussion. instead, you opted to continue with ad hominem bs.

doesn't matter if you couldn't comply or you just didn't want to -> welcome to the ignore list.

I'm here to practice my fourth living foreign language, not as your aggression therapist.

reply

SMH🤪

It also claims that North America and South America are considered one continent and Canadians are in fact Americans

reply

I've explained there that it depends where you went to school.

For example, Brazilian school books count Eurasia as one. Others only count one American continent.
Yes, Canadians are North Americans - and for those who count only one American continent, the North can be omitted.

reply

Somebody should tell Brazil to update their textbooks, they might not know what happened to the Ottoman Empire

reply

It was just one example - technically, no one is absolutely right or wrong in this question. It's pretty ignorant to call everyone else wrong on something not clearly defined.

I've even seen "Eurasafrica" somewhere.

By tectonic reasoning, Europe and Asia are separate plates - as well as North & South America. Anyway, plates are not defining continents or we'd have a lot more to count.

reply

Anybody who thinks N America and S America are one huge continent is mistaken

I could tell you that Hoboken is the capitol of New York but that doesn't make it so

reply

Watching inappropriate content with your child happens, you can't always check everything. It doesn't make you a terrible parent.

But tbh, being proud of it kinda does.

reply

WOW...YOU SUCK PRETTY HARD,DONT YA?🙂

reply

Nah come on, if you want to re-watch movies not suitable for their age, do it in the evenings when they're asleep.

A few weeks ago, I've watched "Jurassic Park" together with mine and they had nightmares. It can happen, but it's surely nothing to brag about.

reply

Andy watched STAR WARS with is daughter, not every Friday The 13th movie

Sheesh

reply

That would be really irresponsible.

Like I've said here twice, sometimes, an inappropriate movie may slip through. Nobody is that perfect.

He called himself a terrible parent and I only agreed in the bragging part of it. It's not like I came here to lecture him, please read my first posts here. He made it a question of parenting - not me.

On the other hand, he calls me a troll just because I (try to) follow age recommendations when watching movies with my kids.

reply

Someone needs to get a sense of humour.

reply

“It's not like I came here to lecture him”

And yet this is precisely what you did.

reply

Actually, Friday The 13th is on our list 🙄

reply

My 13 year old son is very much enjoying our Asian Babes vol 1-9 marathon

It's important to teach the kids to appreciate fine cinema

reply

Careful, our new troll does not appreciate humour.

reply

Thank goodness most of the posters have a funny bone or we'd both have been nuked a couple of years ago

reply

They tried to pick a fight and decided to put me on Ignore the instant they knew I was wise to their rather pathetic attempts at trolling. I bet you a beer they won’t last long here.

reply

Wonderful!

reply

Kewl! Just pray she never hears about this guy: https://www.cheatsheet.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Barney-the-Dinosaur.jpg

Because of familial obligation, I had to sit through a few hours with that on the TV, pretending to be interested while secretly writhing in agony. Actually, you're probably safe even if she were to hear about him. Six is a bit old for Barney, he seemed to appeal more to the toddler set. For a while back in the 1990s it seemed as if every toddler in the US loved Barney, and every adult with a toddler hated his guts.

reply

I was very lucky to not be subjected to this Barney idiot but my kids LOVED Dora and Diego 🙄

reply

One time I went to the shooting range to practice. One of the other shooters had brought a poster of Barney and was using it as a target. He was generous about letting other shooters have a go. I got to plug three 9mm slugs into Barney's green guts. Damn, that felt good!

reply

BARNEY IS FUCKING BRILLIANT COMPARED TO THAT TWIT DIEGO...THE DORA MOVIE HAS MY OPINIONS OF THE SHOW ALL BLURRED,BUT IM PRETTY SURE IT WAS ON PAR WITH DIEGO'S LIQUID FECES STYLE.

reply

No Barney here, but maybe worse. After three seasons of "Miraculous" during winter, I felt how my brain was melting ... but it's what she likes (she's 7 now). Finally, the snow's gone and sitting inside is over.

Usually, she's not that much into watching TV anyway - we currently have dozens of baby goats, puppies and a foal in the neighborhood - all of course far more interesting.
