Your favorite cities in the US

Here are mine and brief reasons why:

1. Los Angeles. Lived there, loved it. Aside from the beautiful weather, beautiful women, and beautiful beaches, I loved it because I love movies and loved living where it's all made. LA certainly has it's issues (as do all major cities), but I love the vibe of LA and in my experience everyone there was incredibly kind and interesting.

2. Columbus, OH. Went to college there, the quintessential Midwestern college city. Maybe a bit bigger than the most average midwest college city, but I loved it's banging art scene, the pizza in my opinion is amazing (personally liked it more than many of the Chicago and NY pizza places I've tried), and it's got a surprisingly lot of fun stuff to do. Also, I like Ohio State.

3. Austin- Texas version of Columbus, but maybe probably better. Beautiful scenery, SWSX, best BBQ I have ever eaten in my life. A little too hot in the summer for me, but if I could tolerate the heat more I'd consider living there.

4. Cincinnati- Closest major city I grew up by (Dayton doesn't count). I love Cincy chili, and anyone who has seen Cincy once you clear that "bend" coming up from I75 will couch for how awesome it's skyline is. Cincy probably is just any other city, but it holds a special place in my heart.

San Antonio, Texas. Absolutely love the sub-street level river walk.

San Diego, California. Was a perfect city for decades. Sadly overrun by homeless now. (The "homeless problem" is so often addressed by giving homeless people everything they can. Amazingly, the homelessness increases where this is done.)

Los Angeles, California. Yes it is filthy and bum laden (literally everything closes after dark downtown due to this). But the other half is beautiful and has so many cool museums and unique things to do. Once one becomes skilled at navigating the terrible freeway/road situation, it is a cool place. Enjoy it while you can, the high hobo-tide will eventually drown out the rest.

Idyllwild, California. Artist community tucked away in the mountains, this place is chill and yet also bustling. The pleasant feeling of coniferous isolation but still lots to do, see, and eat.

Bryce Canyon City, Utah. The awesome national parks within hours of here make it one of my favorites. Stunning location.

Palm Springs, CA. Love it so much that I moved there. Hot but shadowed by dramatic local mountains. Fantastic hiking trails. Excellent dining. Pretty relaxed. Perfect weather for 75% of the year.
