THE BEST OF CHEECH & CHONG...IN YOUR OPINION.🤔

SO...WHAT IS THE BEST CHEECH & CHONG FILM AND THE BEST SOLO FILM BY CHEECH AS WELL AS CHONG.FOR THE SOLO WORK,I KNOW THEY CAMEO IN A LOT OF EACH OTHERS SOLO PROJECTS...IN YOUR OPINION...

HERE IS MY OPINION...

CHEECH & CHONG - UP IN SMOKE (1978)

CHEECH - BORN IN EAST L.A. (1987)

CHONG - FAR OUT MAN (1990)

Haven’t really watched any of their solo work but Next Movie was my favorite when I was a teenager.

Haven’t seen them in ages.

reply

Up in smoke - great,
everything else - meh

I didn't see them in chronological order. The first C&C movie I saw was 'Nice Dreams'. It was in a movie theater was 19 and thought it was gut-bustingly funny from beginning to end. As I got older most of it just wasn't as funny to me, though there are scenes in it that are still quite funny.

Shortly after I saw 'Up in Smoke' and then 'Cheech & Chong's Next Movie' on cable TV. The former was great fun to me and even today the humor holds up. The latter falls between 'Up in Smoke' and 'Nice Dreams', and there are still scenes in it I still reel in laughter with.

Next Movie, Nice Dreams and Things are Tough All over are the only ones I've seen.

They're all equally as good in my opinion.

"Open up, man. It's me, Dave. I got the stuff."
"Dave's not here."

One of the funniest comedy routines ever recorded.

reply

one of my many blind spots is that i have never seen a cheech & chong movie.

now that i don't smoke pot, it seems like something that would be lost on me, anyway.

reply

their best bits were the albums, well before the movies.

reply

THE ALBUMS ARE ALL GREAT...BUT THEY ARENT FILMS...AND I ENJOY FILMS THE MOST.

I can close my eyes and put my self and friends on the rock wall as I first heard CC, and still remember Chong's "Looks like my grandmother eating ice cream" line 50 years later.
