What could HUMANS say to defend themselves if put on TRIAL by an ADVANCED ALIEN RACE of beings???

If an ADVANCED RACE of ALIEN BEINGS were to have a TRIAL where humans would need to fight for their right to continue to exist, how would the HUMAN RACE defend itself?

What could we say about ourselves in our defense?

reply

1. The Stygianati made us do it !

2. We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

reply

But these ADVANCED RACE of BEINGS would probably also have BETTER WEAPONS and TECHNOLOGY than us (which is why they probably also wouldn't be that impressed by us trying to PRETEND to be a RACE of BORGS).

reply

Who said anything about PRETENDING ?

reply

Do you have a HIVE LIKE MIND and a BODY that's part MACHINE Q???

reply

No. There are some the Borg will not assimilate.

reply

Are they actually true Borg then?

reply

Well they are "true" Borg in the sense that they behave like the Borg. Do you imagine there are no Borg rejects or that the Borg wouldn't find it useful to persecute outcasts as way of keeping the hive obedient ?

Perhaps you're a KAZON or a member of SPECIES 8472???

The Kazon were a species the Borg did not assimilate because they were considered useless. They also referred to species not by their name but by a number, presumably the order in which they were encountered by the Borg.

Did the Borg assimilate Species 8472?

However, when the Borg attempted to assimilate Species 8472, they found that the species was immune to assimilation – their immune system was so efficient that any foreign body cells encountered were immediately destroyed, including Borg nanoprobes.

Guess that also means that we HUMANS should feel FLATTERED that the BORG even considered us WORTHY enough to ASSIMILATE???

reply

I’ve never thought about their way of life no, but that’s a good point.
I thought that they always assimilated others, by force, so there were never any rejects so to speak....unless you count 7 of 9 who turns back in to a human.
That’s as far as my knowledge goes ☺️

reply

Captain Picard was also ASSIMILATED by the BORG and then turned back into a HUMAN again, and in the BRAND NEW STAR TREK show called "PICARD" he also died at the end of S1, and had his consciousness transferred into an ARTIFICAL BODY.

Since it looks human (looks just like PICARD), and doesn't have any machine parts, he's not a BORG, but we also don't know if others are going to accept that he's still PICARD yet either. Like will he still legally own his own home (a winery), for instance, or will the law refuse to recognize his right to still own it now.

S2 should be interesting, and one can only hope that he's named someone in his will (if he had one) that he can trust to let him still live in his home (if the law declares he's a dead man now who has no legal rights to his property anymore).

In other words, PICARD's also sort of been ASSIMILATED by his own DEATH and kind of left in a state of LEGAL LIMBO (at least that's my assumption about what may happen to him in S2).

7 of 9 is also in PICARD as well. She's gone ROGUE NOW and is a BAD ASS who kicks butt and she was also TEMPORARILY turned into a BORG QUEEN for a few moments.

The ROMULANS also had a DEACTIVATED BORG CUBE, and BORG BODY PARTS were also being sold on the BLACK MARKET (which is also the reason why 7 of 9 went ROGUE -- after a woman murdered ICHEB -- who'd been like a son to 7 in VOYAGER-- where she'd deprogrammed him and helped to turn him human again -- like the way that Capt. Janeway and the other crew did 7).

Data also has a daughter now as well. She also had an identical TWIN but she was killed by ROMULANS. They are also SYNTHS or SYNTHETIC HUMANS who are BIOLOGICAL instead of being composed of MACHINE PARTS like DATA was.

So DATA was ALL MACHINE (yet given the same legal status as a human), and the BORG are HALF HUMAN/HALF MACHINE (or Half other species/half machine), and now we've got SYNTHS (BIOLOGICAL looking SYNTHETIC HUMANS), and PICARD (a HUMAN who has his CONSCIOUSNESS inside of an artificial HUMANOID body).

And my guess is he's probably also going to get REJECTED by HUMANS in Season 2 (the way the BORG also REJECTED the KAZONS).

There was also some kind of SUPERIOR RACE of ALIEN beings who were coming through a WORMHOLE to wipe out all HUMAN life at the end of S1, but the WORMHOLE was also SHUT DOWN before they could make it through it.

reply

Wozers, ok!
Thanks for all that. Interesting.
I’d have thought that in the Picard series, from what you’ve said, he is some kind of replicant-human hybrid, or sympathetic (in terms of looks and being like a human rather than a colder, machine-like robotic form) cyborg.

reply

They call the body his CONSCIOUSNESS was transferred into a GOLUM. Originally it was for the CONSCIOUSNESS of the HUMAN SON of the MAN who created DATA (who also looks just like DATA), but when PICARD dies he let's him have it.

So apparently they can also make these GOLUM bodies look like anyone. And that might also indicate there could be problems (because then perhaps someone else could end up looking like someone else and take their place)???

But since the ROMULANS also HACKED into the ARTIFICIAL BODIES of some other SYNTHS (Synthetic beings who were being used as a work force on MARS where they built SPACE SHIPS), and then the ROMULANS instructed the SYNTHS to DESTROY the SHIP YARD, they've also BANNED all ARTIFICIAL LIFE FORMS for that reason. So this ARTIFICIALLY created PICARD will also be in BIG TROUBLE for that reason (due to the way the other SYNTHS aren't allowed to exist).

But now that they know it was the ROMULANS who did it and not the SYNTHS, hopefully that will also mean attitudes have changed. But since PICARD is also the FIRST HUMAN to have DIED and then had his CONSCIOUSNESS transferred into an ARTIFICIAL BODY, that could also cause lots of other ISSUES (such as people who don't DIE anymore leading to an OVER POPULATION problem). But apparently PICARD also still has the same LIFE SPAN as he had before and will still DIE again at some point (because he's also suppose to be in his 90's now and the human life span in the future time also isn't suppose to go to age 200).

So it will be interesting to see how other HUMANS like or don't like what's happened to PICARD and if they're willing to accept it or not on a LEGAL BASIS where other HUMANS will also have the right to do the same thing.

In STAR TREK DISCOVERY we've also got a KLINGON PERSONALITY who's inside of a HUMAN BODY (due to something the KLINGONS did to one of their HUMAN prisoners as a way to SPY on the HUMANS). DISCOVERY also took place prior to the time of KIRK (back when SPOCK was still a YOUNG MAN in his 20's), but now that ship and it's CREW have also LEAPED 900 YEARS into the FUTURE TIME where NO ONE in STAR TREK has ever been before.

And it was also a place where the FEDERATION barely existed anymore either due to the way the DILETHIUM (the stuff that FUELS the SPACE SHIPS) BLEW UP and DESTROYED the SHIPS and everyone on them. But now they've also figured out what caused that to happen and will try to rebuild the FEDERATION again in SEASON 4 of DISCOVERY.

But since the reason why they leaped 900 YEARS into the FUTURE TIME was to get away from some kind of BORG- LIKE BEINGS (called CONTROL) who also inject NANOBOTS into HUMANS as a way to CONTROL them, one also has a feeling CONTROL is going to TRACE the DISCOVERY, find out where they are, and then show up there in the other FUTURE TIME where the ship is located now. CONTROL also didn't say "RESISTANCE is FUTILE," but it said something very similar (STRUGGLE is POINTLESS) prior to injecting those NANOBOTS.

Moments Of Discovery: Control In Control

Is Star Trek Discovery a Borg?

Star Trek: Discovery's Control A.I. Is Basically A New Borg Star Trek: Discovery's Control A.I. Is Basically A Bodiless Borg Star Trek: Discovery's Control A.I. is starting to heavily resemble one of the Star Trek franchise's most iconic villains - the Borg.

the A.I. seeks to destroy, not assimilate, and the Borg don’t hate organic life so long as it proves useful (see: Locutus).

Star Trek: Discovery's Control A.I. Is Basically A New Borg

screenrant.com/star-trek-discovery-control-ai-new-borg/

So IF CONTROL shows up as the ALIEN RACE, we're pretty much SCREWED (due to the way even STAR TREK can't CONTROL CONTROL-- and can only LEAP 900 YEARS into the FUTURE or RUN AWAY from it -- where CONTROL may also still find a way to find them hiding there).

In fact I also SUSPECT that CONTROL has already found them there, due to the way the SHIP also has a NEW AI SYSTEM that's been EVOLVING on the ship (sort of like the way that we also have lots of other AI's in our own lives that are doing things for us now like turning off the lights or locking and unlocking doors for us, etc.).

In other words, perhaps one day SOON after the AI opens the car door for us something will also POP OUT of the HEADREST as we BUCKLE UP and inject some NANOBOTS into the back of our NECKS????

It also could be the other way around.

FOUND this WONDERFULLY IRONIC reply:

Your Honor, Lady and Gentleman Things of the Jury. Humanity, in chains here before you today, is indeed guilty of all claims, as charged, and has no defense but to confess to its pervasive collective ignorance. It knew not what it was doing. Not really.

Either that, or we must perforce enter a plea of insanity, and throw ourselves on the mercy of the court.

Is it a congenital idiot, unable to understand the overall effects of behavioral causality, or a demented suicidal maniac, more than willing to take its entire world with it, in its own self-destruction?

Keeping in mind we are talking about excising an entire species, we here seek an extension of this life-form’s possible continuity based on the premise of the doubt.

Today we will endeavor to examine the deeply disturbing facts together, in the aim and hope of better reaching a truly just verdict.

For our first terrestrial testimonial witness, let us now call human Donald John Trump to the stand...

reply

I'll tell them to go Fu_k themselves.

reply

And maybe telling them that might also give them EVIDENCE enough to eliminate us because they'd see us as being TOO HOSTILE a SPECIES???

reply

I see. So they're going to ELIMINATE US for being too hostile. Hypocrites much ?

reply

Well that's an EXCELLENT ARGUMENT Q !!!

And we should probably also try to USE IT !!!

😁😁😉

reply

We could "never" communicate with each other so the question is mute.

reply

Mute questions are my favourite !

reply

I want to tell her that I love her but the point is probably mute.

reply

Shouldn’t that be moot?

reply

What do you call a cow that can't talk?

reply

Lol, my 6 year old daughter gets her cuddly toy cow and tells me it’s mooooovie time.

reply

Your 6 yr old daughter sounds ADORABLE !!!

Perhaps she could also talk the ALIENS into letting us live???

🐮

reply

She’s a really sweet girl (but then I’m biased).

Cuteness overload might swing it in our favour with the aliens👽

reply

They'd probably have UNIVERSAL TRANSLATOR NANOBOTS that they'd inject into us (like the kind that were injected into JOHN after he fell into the WORMHOLE in FARSCAPE).

reply

Don't forget to add the bit about assimilation and resistance being futile.

FOUND a DEBATE link where 77% say the Human Race isn't worth saving, and only 23% think that it is:

https://www.debate.org/opinions/is-the-human-race-worth-saving

And here's a couple of the comments that don't think we're worth it:

Be on the internet for 2 sec Just look at memes and be on the internet for like 1 day, look at you tube comments, there is nothing worth saving that the human race has created, look at sonic ocs and you'll see that we should end the human race cause we are cancer and it would be best for us all to just launch the nukes.

---

Learned nothing from history Frankly the human race is the upmost disgusting race on this planet... Where should we start? We have learned nothing from the past... Nothing. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer... We are stuck in a system that ignores the plight of the week and the vulnerable... Every person deserves to burn in hell!!

💥

reply

I was particularly moved by the plight of the week !

reply

I've LOADED it several times but still can't find the PLIGHT of the WEEK post.

What does it say???

reply

I know you are but what am I ?

reply

Lmao 🤣

reply

We're really sorry we messed up Star Wars, GOT's, and BvS. We will strive to do much better. Look, Kong v Godzilla was entertaining wasn't it? And there's also that Britney Spears documentary, don't you want to see how her story ends??! Plus Keanu is back in the Matrix, it'll be good, and you don't want to miss that! *wink wink*

reply

That was already answered in "Encounter at Farpoint" in Star Trek TNG.

reply

Was it???

Perhaps you haven't seen what's happened to PICARD at the end of S1 in PICARD???

First he's ASSIMILATED and becomes one of the BORG, and now his body is not even HUMAN anymore.

reply

"Give me immunity and I'll tell you EVERYTHING..."

reply

Ah ha!!!

So then you'd SELL OUT the rest of us as a way to save your OWN SKIN???

Definitely sounds like a VERY HUMAN PROCESS !!!

😊

reply

Absolutely!

reply

Since that's also what the COPS do whenever they're CONFRONTED with CRIMINALS who don't want to talk (offer them immunity), one can definitely see some ALIENS using the same kind of process on us as a way to get the rest of us to tell them something about us that they want to know !!!

Or maybe the ALIENS would also have a way that they could READ our MINDS and not even need to bother offering us immunity to find out what they'd want to know???

And perhaps the USE of the INTERNET might also be a way that they could find out what we have ON OUR MINDS???

👽

reply

Or maybe the ALIENS would also have a way that they could READ our MINDS and not even need to bother offering us immunity to find out what they'd want to know???

Dammit!

reply

And perhaps the USE of the INTERNET might also be a way that they could find out what we have ON OUR MINDS???

If they check my browser history I'm screwed!

reply

Why what would they find there in it???

Have you been BAD MOUTHING ALIEN RACES or something???

Also looks like our conversation has scared away some other poster now who DELETED whatever they'd said.

This has already been done, on TV. The Twilight Zone, 1985, Season 1, Episode 37. "A Small Talent for War." An ambassador from an alien race arrives and claims that his race genetically engineered the people of Earth. He tells the United Nations Security Council that his race is displeased with Earth's "small talent for war," as they have failed to produce the potential that the aliens had nurtured, and his fleet will destroy all life on Earth. The Security Council pleads for and is granted a 24-hour reprieve to prove humanity's worth. 7 minutes, 56 seconds. You will have your answer HERE:

This issue is addressed more indirectly in The Outer Limits, 1995 Season 2 Episode 9, "Trial By Fire". The newly inaugurated (pacifist) President of the United States must deal with an approaching alien fleet of spaceships and determine whether to welcome them or destroy them, based on limited information. 44 minutes, 5 seconds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2M-p-Q8BvU
