I only just recently watched for the first time, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, and in the message boards posters say it is sometimes shown at special screenings in art house theaters. I would love to see that on the big screen, just beautiful to look at.

that's one i almost named, but thought it was probably a bit too well known (it's on the sight & sound 250 and so on).

but absolutely a great film. filled with perfect looking people and great music. you'd have to be a bit of an inhuman monster not to love it at least a little, i reckon.

Pihu. There's barely any dialogue in this Indian film. The child actor is brilliant. It's about a little girl in her apartment with her dead mother. And trying to understand what's happening and how to get help.

I've only seen it once but it stuck in my mind.

I thought "Run Lola Run" was popular.. I saw it right after it came out on IFC or the Sundance channel.
