Stuff you look forward to in Spring?
I like the sprouting of the leaves and flowers, the warmer weather, the longer days, the return of birds, and so on.

shareFall ( or Autumn ) getting that much closer.
shareabsolutely nothing!
all it means is that we're entering the time when very soon ever day will be filled with grinding, brutal, relentless heat. pounding, vicious, miserable heat. every single bloody day.
bring on september, please.
I agree with you about the heat. I like the first two months of spring because it means a change of season and things start getting green. But by late May/early June the weather starts getting too warm.
I can do without the summer, especially July and August. Bring on October and the subsequent holiday season.
Hello fellow Spring/Summer haters. We should form an allegiance and rid this world of anything that isn't fall and winter.
shareI don't "hate" the early spring (March and April) for the reasons I posted above. The month of May can have a few miserable days but for the most part it's decent until you reach the final week. Then it's too close to summer.
shareLots of illegal aliens. They only cost us $600 per day, not including bus or airfare. But they bring sorely needed culture to America. And they are mostly all starving based on the flabby looks of them, the poor things.
shareMainly the flowers and mild warmer weather. Daylight savings time is also a factor.
shareDST should have been abolished decades ago.
shareWhy do you dislike it?
shareIt accomplishes absolutely nothing except for the disruption of human sleep cycles. It doesn't "save energy" or "help the farmers" or "make the days longer" or achieve any of the other myths that continue to circulate. Standard Time is the true time with noon recorded when the Sun appears highest in the sky; that's where the term "high noon" comes from. With DST you are living on bogus time: it's high noon and the clocks are set at 1:00 pm.
When people mess with their clocks every spring they are merely being fooled into getting up one hour earlier. This creates the illusion of a "longer" day. The extra sunlight is the effect of the Earth tilting on its axis with the Northern Hemisphere facing the Sun, not because the clocks were reset. The government has done a great job brainwashing the general public with this nonsense.
Your flowers and warmer weather are real; DST isn't.
