There's an Irish movie called 'Grabbers' which is about a coastal town attacked by a sea monster for which alcohol is toxic. That means that the only way to survive is to be completely drunk.
The actors in scene aren't really drunk. There's a funny story, though. The director made them drink until they were completely drunk, and then he recorded them playing the script. That footage was used to prepare the acting.
That's actually a good observation and an interesting lesson in How To Act Drunk.
Goodness knows we've seen a lot of unconvincing portrayals of High behavior to wonder if anyone pays attention to what it's actually like when you are around a drunk or high person.
Pretty much yes. He had a sinus infection when he was in Australia and the doctor prescribed medication to him. The medication is legal even though there are small amounts of cocaine in it. He said being high on it helped him get into character because he's all coked up in the movie.
Kevin Smith said on the Clerks 2 dvd thats why he initially retired Jay and Silent Bob was it was getting harder to clean up Jason Mewes before every movie because of his heroin addiction. I’m pretty sure he’s still clean today.
Robbin Williams was high on Coke for the first half of his career.
Small fish but ... Eric Andre of The Eric Andre Show fame is on acid most of his shows and offers acid to his guests before taping. The show is dumb but often nails some hilarious comedy content. The unspoken premise is that he is an unwilling show host who has no choice but to host. Like it is his personal Hell or something. The show intro is him running wild on the set, destroying everything he can until exhausted. At which point we see the crew silently replacing everything he destroyed.
I can't stand that guy. It's also irresponsible to offer acid to your guests. He probably wanted them to say something controversial so that it could become a famous interview.
I guess you haven't watched the show. There are hardly interviews. If he even asks a question, it is usually non-sequitur. Mostly he is being extremely absurd trying to get a reaction from his guest. For instance, he sometimes has a poorly chosen look-alike of the guest come out dressed the same as them and start saying the same thing they are as close to at the same time that they can. It's just chaos. There's no interview going on. Its absurdity comedy.
Not very professional to accept the acid either. But this is a show in which Eric is portrayed launching himself into the drummer of the band, beating him senseless.
I find it odd that you don't seem to have a problem with any of the other cases ITT. Cocaine is professional?
You should watch an episode. They are 15 minutes long. Once you see what kind of guests they have and the format, you'll change your mind. The show is half stupid and half funny.
Are you comfortable with discussing what drugs you have tried? Don't want to ask if not.
