Why I think homosexuality should still be considered a mental illness

Loo loitering.

I've seen men, some who look like they're in their 70s, loitering around a toilet at a beach near where I live. I googled it and yes, it is a 'gay beat'.

Some sit around for hours.

Imagine being so depraved that you want spend your whole day hoping for a gay hookup with a stranger in a public toilet?

For that, I consider it a mental illness.

They're feeding a deeply depraved desire and for some I bet they don't even know why they do it.

Depravity.

Obsessive, compulsive behaviour.

Mental illness.

Ok, firstly, the percentage of gay people who visit beats for casual sex is minute. Usually they are closeted gays who have no other avenues for hook ups. It wouldn’t surprise me that you see older men visiting these beats as they are more likely to have been closeted for their entire lives and are too old to use online gay dating sites.

Secondly, do you also consider heterosexuality a mental illness considering you have desperate straight men frequenting sex clubs and strip joints? Is that not also desperate and depraved behaviour, spending hours ogling some cheap tarts with their tits out?

Finally, what would compel you to google gay beats rather than minding your own business and avoiding these places if they look dodgy? What is your obsession with homosexuality all about? You talk about gays here all the time. Why do they interest you so much? Don’t you have girls to think about instead?

Well this beach is the closest to my work and has good parking so it's convenient for me to stop here before work. It's not just a gay beat, it gets everyone.

Do I consider heterosexuality to be a mental illness? More of a designed mental trap. Whether by God or nature, men who become fixated with women, "getting a girl", or needing to screw a girl, is a mental trap, designed to trick humanity into reproduction.

It has a purpose, whereas I fail to see the purpose of a man needing to perform a sexual act on another man and waiting hours to do so.

And of course I will google a place if I see dudes hanging around and ogling me. I need to know which loos to avoid.

I've stumbled upon beats by accident before.

Firstly my brother wanted to stop and look at a bridge and I was next to my car waiting and an old man pulled in and gave me a smile. Very weird I thought. He then went to the loo and a young man jumped out from behind a bush and followed him in. They didn't leave. I googled it and it was a beat. I was shocked and appalled. Sordid behaviour. Thankfully that loo was demolished and no longer is in existence.

I’m sorry, but none of that justifies you saying that homosexuality should be considered a mental illness because SOME gay people visit beats for sex. What about the majority of gay people who do not, are they mentally ill by association or something?

You created this thread for the sole purpose of disparaging gay people, as you so often do. You talk about obsessive behaviour as a sign of mental illness, but what do you call repeatedly making threads to attack gay people if not obsessive?

It’s quite weird and boring of you. Perhaps if you had a life yourself, you wouldn’t be so troubled by how others live theirs.

Why do you particularly care? If it was a mental illness you'd treat them with some compassion, but you don't. We should treat all people with illnesses with compassion. That right there makes me skeptical of whether you believe it is a mental illness or a political issue.

Live and let live. You don't want anyone telling you what to do with your private life, don't tell others what to do with theirs.
