youtube is now called BHM??

what is that?

reply

My work website had BHM on it as well
I was puzzled for a minute

Turns out it's Black History Month which I suppose is fine but I was fooled too

reply

i thought it was a corporate takeover.

reply

It was abruptly added to my job website and a lot of people didn't know what it meant this morning

I have no issue with it but they could have made it clearer

reply

Black History Month. It is still called Youtube, that is just a temporary logo.

reply

Seems to be a regional thing. I had to turn on VPN to see what you mean.

reply

That black history nonsense is everywhere, Yahoo as well. So when is Asian History Month or White History Month???

reply

I do know that George Washington Carver loved to give sensual peanut oil massages to men. Look it up. This has been a black history minute. 😄

reply

"The greatest ‘bisexual’ black scientist of his time"! I wonder how many others there were.🤔

reply

Exactly! In the current political climate he should be a historical super star!

reply

He invented the sensual peanut oil massage for men. He's already a super star in my book!

reply

Yes! 👍

reply

I assume it has to do with the recognition and importance of black culture since we enslaved them for over 100 hundred years. Let that number sink in....

reply

It had gotten completely out off hand. I'll we do talk about is black history. 24/7/365. And sometimes it descends into the ridiculous: Smithsonian museum (The National Museum of African American History and Culture) apologizes for saying hard work, rational thought is ‘white culture’

https://www.google.com/search?hl=&site=&q=museum+apologizes+for+saying+hard+work%2C+rational+thought+is+%27white+culture%27

reply

Yeah, but that whole whiteness chart seemed like some kind of satire.😐

reply

Oh it should have been, but apparently was serious.

reply

I honestly think the person who made that chart is mentally ill. It's absurd. Was there also a blackness chart???

reply

Unfortunately it is becoming ever more common in America (at least, amongst elites of academia, media, law, entertainment, sports, and the corporate world) to associate being white with something bad. The irony here is that most would agree that the traits on the chart are good things. This implies what about POC (people of color)?

reply

It's a confusingly hypocritical chart.

reply

So 10 000 years???😲
