Do you smoke?

Type, brand, frequency, location.

I'm curious!

Do you smoke after sex?

"I don't know; I never looked." 😏

Weed

Did for 13 years. Started out on Marlboro menthol lights, then went to reds, lights, and ultra lights about 5/8 pack a day. Haven't smoked in almost 7 years. Only time I miss it now is sitting around a camp fire.

reply

Wow you smoked like a chimney! Glad you beat the habit. Can I ask why so much?

reply

I did. I always enjoyed it and I could easily fall back into the habit if it wasn't so expensive and probably one of the worst things you can do to your body. I worked in restaurants and outdoor security for a long time and I used to drink heavily so I was always around it. If I was drinking, I would smoke at least a pack. It was tough to quit, but for financial and health reasons it was one of the best things I've ever done.

I still put away the weekly money that I would have used on cigs in a jar for savings.

Used to smoke roll ups. But smoking is so expensive now so I vape instead. I think a pack of 20 is about £13 these days. Around $15 usd. I don't think there's even 20 in a pack anymore either. Flavours are banned too.

Quit 20 years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed smoking. The recurring bronchitis eventually outweighed my love of the habit. Smoked Marl reds, American Spirits, Silk Cuts, and eventually settled in on Marl Lights 100s for about 15 years. Quit cold turkey a few times successfully and restarted not for satisfying a chemical jones but by choice for sheer love of the practice. I liked being a smoker. Third time quitting stuck.

EDIT: Didn't answer location question. Everywhere. I'm class of 87 so I even briefly got a taste of smoking in restaurants before the hammer started its slow inexorable fall. The No Smoking areas were growing in number but were still few. I had a rotten truck-fleet-washing job during which I would have a cig hanging out of my mouth most of the time while I toiled over freezing, night time washing of 100s of electrical service trucks. Yep. I was one of those kind of smokers.

I remember smoking/non smoking. In Australia I think they got rid of restaurant smoking around 96 and smoking in bars and clubs in 2005.

reply
