I'm in desperate need of a great movie.. Every day I tell myself, "Watch a movie you haven't seen".. On the few occasions I have the will to watch, I see mostly duds.
I watch most of the movies I can from the 1930-70s, but I'm not looking for classics. I don't like "camp".. Most of what I watch is drama, dialogue driven - don't need action, or sci-fi.. Acting of course is important.
Here are the movies I've rated.. You can hit CTRL-F to quickly see if I've seen a certain movie or not
All That Heaven Allows (1955)
Very entertaining in a very weird way.
And Johnny Guitar. Same as above but completely different.
But if OP has more modern films in mind, I'm not sure I can help.
Will have to think on it, but not my wheelhouse.

Obviously, I've seen all of these either at a movie theater or at home (or both), but they'd definitely make a nice addition to my film library.
So just as soon as the U.S. Congress approves the additional $1,400 in Covid-19 relief funds, I'll start buying. ;-)
Yeah, I know.
However, I couldn't wait that long as I just purchased The Cincinnati Kid and Straw Dogs, both on Blu-ray.
I also learned that Z is not available on DVD or Blu-ray. At least from Amazon, that is.
the color wheel 2011 - it reminds me a little bit of buffalo 66 in the way it finds humor in portraying unlikable, even detestable people. i feel like you might get a bit of a kick out of it.
