I don't understand this

So there's this user, and probably many users, who exclusively make negative posts on people's individual pages. They will make a new post, that just rails on about a person in the most rude and disgusting (and fairly illiterate) way, and then never respond to a single user who responds to them. Then they will immediately move on to a new person and repeat. I don't get why that would even be fun. If you hate movies, and you hate all actors, why would you even be here? If it's just to live off of the few reactionary responses you may get, why would that be enough?

Some posters like to use the 'ignore' feature, maybe just put the annoying posters on ignore

If you mean Moviebuff224 I blocked him a while back and the site is more enjoyable without him, there are a couple of other members who post in a similar manner, also blocked.

I'm not sure if the OP is referring to MovieBuff224. I don't recall him ever going after any specific poster. His posts were usually about something in the workplace or about human behavior in general.

There are some challenging folk here. Having an informed objective debate is one thing, but nonsensical abuse is something else!

They always make themselves look foolish. Karma at work I suppose.

There's always the 'Ignore' function. I've used it a couple of times unfortunately.

Could do. I probably will, and I certainly am aware of the ignore function, it's just in my nature to wonder why people do the things they do. This behavior is totally antithetical to the spirit of discussion.
