The box sets keep getting bigger and bigger.

DVDs are really going out.

reply

For some folks, yes. But some of us still prefer physical media because we own it, not just have a license to view, and if your internet/cable ever goes out for a period of time, you're good to go.

reply

You've got some goodies there Amigo!

The hot mom brawl in Mega Python VS Gatoroid is the most memorable scene in film history😍

reply

You've actually watched a movie called Mega Python vs. Gateroid?

reply

Debbie Gibson and Tiffany have a wild fight in skimpy dresses, why would I NOT watch that😬

reply

Just watched it. The fight scene is hilarious and fantastic. I really enjoyed the film. It is a lot of fun!

reply

i have seen the host

Troll Hunter, Outlander, The Host, Black Mask, Shaolin Soccer, Ong-Bak, Chocolate, and The Gang's All Here are some standouts.

reply

The Host and Troll Hunter are legit movies. They're in a different league than the others in the creature feature box set.

reply

Shaolin Soccer is one of my most favorite movie of all time. Of all time.

Every scene was very thought out eventhough it was just a silly comedy. They even cast real life father and son actors to portray the young and old antagonist so that the 2001-esque "bone-to-spaceship" transition worked well.

reply

Black Sheep (2006) is a New Zealand comedy that I used for Stonekeeper game #1202. The Host was directed by the same Korean man who directed Parasite (2019).

Why do you still buy dvds? I gave all mine away a few years ago just seems pointless now and if your gonna display them they take up a lot if room.

Not being funny with that question just curious.

Saying that it used to be nice browsing dvds, going to (our price or hmv) buying 5 dvds for £20

I like having a physical copy of films. I like the sense of ownership and the thrill and feel of collecting. There are lots of movies that aren't on streaming or on demand and even with the ones that are, you never know when or if they are they going to be removed. Also, I like special features that come with some dvds. And sometimes you can get a really good deal on dvds (and some blu rays too). The dvd sets I got were $19.99 each, which for the sets that have 10 movies in them, that is only $2 a movie. Where/how do you usually watch films?

reply

Fair enough, mainly Netflix or Amazon movies.
Or I heard from a friend that hd cinema is good.

reply

I have Netflix and Amazon too and like them, but I find sometimes the selection is limited and they don't have any special features.

reply

Yeah i know what you mean not always what you want to watch on them.

When I had my dvds I found that id look through them for half hour and not be able to find anything to watch.
Probably didn't buy new ones regularly enough.

reply

I always have lots of options to watch. I must have thousands of dvds and blu-rays and there are at least 50+ films that I own that I still haven't gotten around to watching.

reply

Cool that sounds like a video shop to me.

I did have the aliens box set it had 9 dvds I never did open it to check out the special features,it was still sealed, not sure what would of been on 5 extra discs, I do regret giving that 1 away and a few others now i think about it.

reply

Yeah, I have the Alien anthology box set on blu ray. It's a nice set with a lot of special features.

reply

I am sucker for special features. Even if I didn't like the movie that much I enjoy a lot watching it with commentaries, the stuff you learn is incredible.
