Entertainers killed in plane crash?

Can you think of entertainers who were killed in a plane crash? These are the ones I can think of right now.

Carol Lumbard - Died January 16, 1942 (aged 33)
Mount Potosi, NV.

Ricky Nelson - Died December 31, 1985.

Buddy Holly - February 3, 1959 (aged 22)
Clear Lake, Iowa.

Oh yeah, I remember that. They had just released the Street Survivors album. The original cover photo was the band standing in front of a wall of flames. After the crash the record company changed the cover to a different image. There was speculation that the original would become a valuable collectors' item, but I don't think it ever got to be worth much.

If you include professional athletes as "entertainers," there's Roberto Clemente and Thurman Munson.

Helicopter, not airplane; does that count as a "plane crash"? OK with me, but others might feel differently.

Patsy Cline - March 5, 1963

I consider figure skaters to be entertainers - borderline because they were amateurs, but the entire US figure skating team was killed in a plane crash in 1961.

That's really poor taste. He was a terrorist who cowardly killed himself and many others in an act of mass murder.

Does it count if the plane was (probably) shot down in wartime? If yes, Glen Miller in 1944, over the English Channel.

Most of the Manchester United first team in the late 50s. Crashed when taking off in snow and killed all but about 4 of them.
