Check out the Big Boys from New York!
We're gonna have wings for dinneršŸ¦œ

He told me the giants will lose

reply

the seahawks were 10.5 point favorites.

reply

He says the giants have no chance

reply

no one did

reply

Especially you

reply

it was a fluke win. i wouldn't count on the giants winning the super bowl.

reply

Thatā€™s what the pats said twice

reply

they are 5-7 in the worst division in the league.

reply

Your point ?

reply

they are still a bad team. seattle had a lousy game.

reply

Iā€™m going to check the standings

reply

Those 2 losses to the Giants in the playoffs for the Packers were their most painful ones imo.

reply

Let's see next weekšŸ˜‰

reply

This one guy on first take said "nobody has a chance to win the super bowl except Kansas City this year".

reply

One of the most well-worn aphorisms in sports commentary is --

If he predicts right, he's a genius. If he predicts wrong, no one will remember.

reply

Go GiantsšŸ„³

reply

nice win

reply

I remember the year the Giants won the Super Bowl and spoiled the Pat's perfect season. From that point on I vowed I would always cheer for the Giants, (except if they played the Dolphins. LOL)

reply

That was awesome

reply

The Giants pull the big upset and beat the Seahawks 17-12
The Rams beat the Cardinals 38-28 and have been looking good recently
The Packers beat the Eagles handily 30-16
The Patriots slam the Chargers 40-0.

reply

Surprised by that last one. Did Cam play? Chargers haven't been winning but they aren't all that bad, while the Pats have been unsteady w/o Tom Terrific.

reply

Newton had his best game by far.

reply

He's one of those polarizing guys, at least for me. Has all the tools, but seems more interested in marketing himself (or just enjoying the limelight) rather than taking the QB job seriously.
I'm sure that's a bias on my part, liking the old school, keep your head down and be serious types like Bart Starr, but that's my take on Cam (I'm Superman) Newton.
I'd actually like to see him do well, but I cringe sometimes.

reply

i would agree

reply

The Vikings beat the Jaguars 27-24 to get to .500, but that's not saying much since the Jags have had only one win this season. And it took overtime for the Vikes to do it.

reply

In the other professional league, NCAAF, the ranked Oregon Ducks were beat by a winless Cal team after losing to their state rival (and often hapless) Oregon State Beavers. This emperor Duck has no clothes.

reply

Goes with the saying that on any given day, any given team can beat any other given team. Upsets happen. ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

ANNOYING: the FAKE crowd noise with no fans in attendance at Pittsburgh game hosting Washington. Especially annoying when they broadcast BOOING a referee's call! Seriously?

The un-Redskins foolishly go for it on 4th and 1 on their own 30 yd line and FAIL. It's what Dallas did in the Thanksgiving game, with a similar result. After falling behind 7-0, they give the Steelers a short field. [Face-palm.] Steelers go for it on 4th and goal and THEY fail too!

reply

I am loving these games starting around 4-5pm. Two weeks in a row.

reply

Just something different and I'm so happy that we actually are having a professional season and they are figuring out a way to get the games in.

reply

My Steelers lose their first game of the season 23-17 to Washington. They deserved to lose.

reply

Washington still on pace to win the NFL East division with a 6-10 record. They then proceed to have QB Alex Smith meet his old team, the Kansas City Chiefs, in the Super Bowl, after they dumped him in a trade to Washington.

The undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins and their fans collectively sigh, as the Steelers' undefeated season is dealt a loss. Note that those Dolphins beat the George Allen coached Washington Redskins in that Super Bowl.

reply

Yes we did!!!!! 72 Dolphins are still the best.

reply

As you know, I'm sure, a lot of analysts will say it's a good thing for a juggernaut to get a wake up call rather than go through the regular season without a defeat or serious challenge.
In NHL hockey, the 2019 Tampa Bay Lightning tied a record for wins then got bounced in the playoffs by an 8th seeded team (worst team to quality for POs).
This past season they fixed their weaknesses and won the Stanley Cup.
So adversity is not always a bad thing.

reply

I caught some halftime scores and some sounded very one-sided, like the Lions and the Browns.
Browns sound like if given a little more time they would have "chuffed" that one up.
And I thought Detroit would fall for sure, but got two touchdowns in the fourth and got the meaningless win.
Haha, the Lions are like a C student who sees getting a C+ as a victory.

btw, this is not to demean all those wonderful students out there who are doing their best and getting a C+ over a C is a genuine accomplishment. Just sayin'.

reply

The Bills over the 49ers 34-24. Watch out for the Bills. I see them as a sleeper team who could win a playoff game or two.

reply

Agree.

reply
