Best song ever

November rain

reply

It's not even the best song of 1992.

But yes, it's a very good song and certainly my own personal favorite from GNR.

reply

Paradise City is my favorite.

reply

A very good pick as well.

Where the grass is green and the girl are pretty...not Cardiff then.

reply

It's obviously Lafayette, Indiana.

You better not be lying about this!

I've always wondered why their follow-up album, "The Spaghetti Incident" was such a flop.

I think their 90's comeback was cut short when Nirvana, Pearl Jam and the grunge/alternative-rock grabbed a hold of the public's attention during the 'era.

It was almost a knight to the throat for the band.

reply

Cover album and not supported by a tour, plus the cover is just meh. LOL

reply

Right? But wasn't there some weird skirmish between Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose. Or maybe MTV. The band just seemed to fall off the face of the earth around 94/95.

reply

Yeah, they became unfashionable for a time like most bands do, and it was pretty much over for them when Slash left.

reply

They sure did and it was a shame.

To follow up one of the biggest selling albums of decade (...to the point) with such a turd. And then to become outcast..

It was embarrassing for them, but it certainly shouldn't have been so.

I agree.

This is just a tribute

Absolutely ridiculous suggestion that November Rain is the best song ever. Please list the reasons how that is better than Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-Lot.

reply

lol.

Right? But best song ever?

reply

When Sir Mix-a-Lot sang: "I'm tired of magazines sayin' flat butts are the thing", I felt that. True lyrics that put Bob Dylan to shame.

reply

Your girl friend drives a Honda playing workout tapes by Fonda 😀

In all seriousness though, Posse on Broadway is Mix a Lot’s best song.

reply

I'm sorry Cap but I have to disagree....
