If Darryl "DMC" McDaniels only would’ve asked me, I could’ve told him all about the healing powers of the great Miss McLachlan. Though I never sunk to his depths, when I need a break from the stress and bustle of this this experiment we call life, she’s one of my go-to’s . Classy, exquisite beauty- and that voice! I’ll stop before I start crying, hahahaha!
And her sense of humor makes her even more attractive: the Super Bowl commercial for Busch beer parodying those ASPCA commercials; the SNL skit with Ana Gasteyer; and her turn in Portlandia, I love that she can be in on the joke and not take herself too seriously:

And “Possesion”: I love the song and when I was working in radio in the mid to late 90s, my lovelorn self told a co-worker that she’s singing this to me, she loves me, yada yada yada….my colleague, ever the music encyclopedia, informed me of the origins of this song (The internet was around but it was before my daily usage of it- I just didn’t know). Damn, I felt like such a dope! I’ve been meaning to read the Judith Fitzgerald book that explores the ordeal, but I digress….
