Morning Tcrum, our very own Fisher Price here at MC, you little Gamemaker...love this new game, keep it coming.
You’ll find most— but not all— of my selections will be from the 90s since that is the decade I really started appreciating the the lyrics of songs. This one- 1995, and it was played everywhere: bars, clubs, radio, MTV, blasting out of cars, Walkmans, home stereos, dorm rooms, etc.
Can’t give the next stanza since it’s the chorus, but here’s some more lyrics:
What drives you on
Can drive you mad
A million lies to sell yourself
Is all you ever had
Don't believe in love
Don't believe in hate
Don't believe in anything
That you can't waste
Well I never been to England
But I kinda like the Beatles
Well, I headed for Las Vegas
Only made it out to Needles
Can you feel it
It must be real it
Feels so good
Oh, feels so good
Does any one know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd put fifteen more miles behind 'er
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I take a look at my life and realize there's not much left
'Coz I've been blastin' and laughin' so long, that
Even my mama thinks that my mind is gone
These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
Not so much decade, it's more genre. I honestly don't know much country other than the really popular songs. Hownos has stumped me a few times on here.
