Your smartphone is like a never-ending bag of potato chips...
Tied to your hip.
Every bored moment, you reach for one.

well , i have recently started taking it with me when i go for a dump...
share😄 some people take the phone to bed with them, check it when they wake before going to the bathroom.
I am trying something new, carrying it with me for 4 hrs a day max...keeping it in another room turned off when I am at home.
There is a pub near me that , in the 10 years since i last went has instigated a "No Phones!" rule.
Went in the other day with a mate who is a total phone-a-holic. He was horrified / confused / outraged
and then kinda ignored it, but they were serious!
lol
That’s my kind of pub. I’d go there just to watch people’s reactions to the no phones rule, and to see how uncomfortable they get without one.
shareThat is a smart thing to do.
shareThat's why I don't own one. They're intrusive and an invasion of privacy. I have a basic TracFone I take with me just in case I have car problems. That's it.
I call these devices StupidPhones™ because they are causing our society to become dumbed-down and lazy. Some people can't perform simple tasks without consulting some silly phone app. They stumble around like zombies because they can't divert their eyes from the screen for even a few seconds. They walk into traffic and fall down stairs. What I would like to know is this... what are they looking at? What is so-o-o important on that screen that one would risk ones life, or the life of someone else?
Sorry, but my life does not revolve around some ridiculous electronic gadget.
😆they walk into traffic and fall down stairs.
I get fucked up by the earpiece guys that stare right at you while talking, then look at you all crazy if you respond to something they say, like you’re interrupting their private phone conversation at the grocery store or wherever.
I wasn't exaggerating. Remember when Pokémon Go was all the rage? Not one but two players walked off a cliff:

And the earpiece guys are completely ridiculous. I'm beginning to wonder if some of them have had those gadgets surgically implanted. What is so important that they can't take the stupid things off in the grocery store?
Hold up, I heard a little about the pokeman craze, but I thought it was something the kids were doing. Adults were doing this shit? Dude wrecked his car over pokeman? These were grown men that walked off cliffs?! Wtf.
shareNot me. Unfortunately though, it's a necessary evil for me, but I spend VERY little time on it.
I've always said the "smart" phone will be our downfall.
true.
