I would say Happy Days was better. L&S always seemed a bit of a hodge podge to me, no real direction and I never got the sense it was set in the 50's/60's like I did with Happy Days although even HD cut loose and free with the look and feel of the era.

Another one worthy of mention:

The Jeffersons (11 seasons, 253 episodes) spun off from All In The Family (9 seasons, 205 episodes)

Both shows featured lead characters that were short tempered, abusive bigots and both were quite hilarious while dealing with some serious topical issues
