What are the best “underdog stands up to the bully” movies?

I’m thinking of the Karate Kid franchise, which I’ve never seen!

What other movies represent this genre?

reply

Harry Potter movies.

I was thinking of Malfoy too, as well as Wonderful Life and Potter.

They have aspects of the genre but aren’t really all about standing up to bullies.

Bad santa

Massacre at Central High (1976)
This is only if your tastes go more for the thriller than cheerful movies

That was a wild and fun B level thriller with some crazy kills
Post-Columbine it could never be made

It's readily available on the internet and pops up on Amazon from time to time
Robert Carradine plays a NEEERRRDD
eight years before starring in Revenge Of The Nerds😀

The Pursuit of Happyness to me is a kind of underdog movie.

Better Off Dead (1985)
No Retreat No Surrender (1986)

How the heck has no one mentioned Back to the Future yet?

And of course there's this gem:

BTTF for sure had elements of the bully gets taken down theme, but BTTF is also its own thing.

That lo budg vid was interesting, but I didn’t care much for the misogynistic language. It’s not ok by me for a male to slur another male by suggesting he’s feminine.

That obviously denigrates femininity.

I realise it’s common in our culture, it’s accepted, but it’s foul as it spreads the message that women are weak and to be reviled.

Personally, I feel any man should feel proud to be compared to women as we can do so many things that men can’t, which involve the survival of our species.

Those are all valid observations, though I estimate more thought and reflection was put into your response than the entirety of that high school Youtube video.
