shareHmm ... I don't think it was directly stated how old he was, but I think it's safe to assume that. She was a trainee, just out of college. And she was certainly younger than Hannibal Lecter.
I've heard that in the novels she and Lecter end up as lovers. Weird!!

No, I think you got it right. The question is, movies where the villain is younger than the protagonist; in SOTL the villain (BB or HL) is older than the protagonist (Starling).
