I know Sahl, but the more you mention him, Billy, the more I think I need to go back and listen some more, you speak so highly of him....

reply

Yeah you should especially since you like some of the ones I like.

Check out his interviews first that might help. I must say it the way he works, the ways mine works with the free-association & stream of consciousness, it might take a couple album listens but they are all on YouTube and it's definitely worth it

Marc Maron (I'm a HUGE fan of his)
Bill Burr

Mitch Hedberg is funny dude. my favorite joke is about the escalators cant break they can only become stairs hahahaha classic

reply

Haha yeah that's a good one. Off the top of my head this morning I think my favorite one is the party for the dufresne's

reply

I loved when he said turtlenecks are like being strangled by a really weak guy all damn day! Oh yes, and that Dufraine joke is hilarious!

reply

It was a very smart guy. I also love the turtleneck joke. Have you ever seen as early stand up? He talk normally and later changed his rhythm and inflections, which I think helped improve his popularity

reply

No I haven’t. I’m going to have to hunt down some of his old routines. I wish he was still here. His life ended way too soon.

reply

Doug Stanhope

reply

He's a cool guy. I've seen him three times and hung out with them into the morning hours after a show once. Fun partier and was nice enough 2 get a taxi to go to my hostel before our planes took off

reply

I’m jealous! That had to be a fun night. Whenever I watch his stand-up, the whole time I’m thinking, I’d love to party with this dude. Very cool.

reply

He also gave me a really good book I would recommend called amusing ourselves to death by Neil postman

reply

I shall. I always enjoy your posts, and very much appreciate the recommendation. Thanks mister✌️

reply

If I had to post one clip, though, it would be this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-iUyNChG6Q
