Seriously, if their name is TRULY offensive to Native Americans, then change it. But really!!!
I live in PA where high school football reigns supreme. My alma mater was the "Red Raiders". The other high school in town is the "Indians". A nearby school is the "Braves". All are named for local Indian tribes who were here first. I consider it a compliment to name a team for a particular group, not an insult.
Who names a team for someone they hate? No one names a team the "Hitlers", the "Benedict Arnolds",etc.
