What is up with people who always have to have music playing?

These older chicks I work with absolutely have to have the radio on at all times. The worst part of this is they literally listen to fm radio, which cycles the same 20-30 songs over and over so I have to listen to the same shitty overplayed songs every day. Even when it’s songs I like I still don’t want to hear them over and over, it ruins them.

This drives me nuts because it is essentially just noise pollution, and yet they can’t function without it. Idiots. I want to put my head through a wall. My favorite part of the day is when everyone leaves and I am all by myself and it is quiet.

Here is a thought: why don't you do a post about something you do like. You complain a lot and it can get tiresome.

reply

I notice that about a lot of posters across this site. I go on many forums and this one seems like a venting station more than most.

reply

There are a lot of good, positive posters on here too. It's just that there are a few negative people who frequently post complaints/whining.

reply

I post about quite a lot of things I like, my negatives just stand out I think

reply

This one seems harmless though.

As long as they're listening to music. And not Garbagesmith and other such similar trash like Slayer and Slipknot.

reply

You let everything get to you.

reply

Have you suggested they try Pandora or Spotify? How about asking them to lower it?

I prefer no music to bad music, and most commercial radio ends up being bad because of the repetition. Christian music and bro-county are particularly annoying and I can't concentrate with that stuff in my head. No wonder I have high blood pressure.

Start whistling along to the tunes. Whistling is annoying af. Say you just can’t help yourself when you hear familiar songs.

playing the top 40 over and over can be boring. i have sirius and amazon music and mix it up.
