Would a time travelling serial killer storyline find an audience?

Instead of just time travelling and preventing someone from doing something, what if a time traveller killed them?

A trained, time travelling killer, out to kill those who will do great harm in the future.

There's also a TV series based on the same book /tt5031234. Jack the Ripper steals H. G. Wells' (real) time machine.
