How do I cool down 😩

It got up to 35°c today ( about 100°f ) it is still 28°/86°f (ish). I cant cool down. I have my fan on but it's just blowing hot air at me. I had a damp cloth on my head earlier which did help but it's not practical for sleeping.
Don't have air con so what else can I try that i may not have thought of already?

***EDIT***

Thank you all for the suggestions. Gonna have a cold shower and sleep with a damp towel under my neck.
🤞

Get a clean spray bottle (one you might use to spritz your hair with) filled with cold water and set it to a fine mist. Spray it above yourself to gently fall on you as needed.

When our air conditioning breaks or power goes out, it's awful trying to sleep. If it's just the air, I turn on the fan and spritz myself as needed especially when trying to sleep. It's only temporary relief but it helps to try to at least get to sleep.
Ice packs help too but be careful leaving those on if you're trying to sleep 😬.

Turn off things in the house that can radiate heat like a TV.
Keep blinds/curtains closed during the day to keep the house from getting warmer by the sun.

Take a cool bath before bed to bring your temperature down lower. Drink a ice type of drink (like that the gas station sells) or eat popsicles. If you don't have that, suck on ice. Don't chew--very bad for your teeth! 😁

Are you allowed to have a window air conditioner? They start at about $175 where I am.

It was 40ºC here a couple of days ago (104ºF).

The trick is to prevent the room/house from warming up as much as possible.
■ Open the windows during the night and close them during the day.
■ Don't let direct sunlight get into the house, specially in the evening. Close shutters or blinds.
■ Turn off any computer or TV you're not using.

Another trick that works quite well is changing the direction you sleep. People usually have the headboard in a corner of the room, so the heat concentrates there. Sleeping with your head in the other extreme of the bed (where you usually have the feet) and turning on the fan, you'll feel more comfortable.

Paying attention to all that, and it should be enough.

My friend who once went to prison said that a trick the inmates used to cool down is take a spray bottle with ice water (if you can find ice) and spray yourself down in front of a fan. Shirtless works best. Take a picture of the process and send it to me. I’ll let you know if you’re doing right.

This is why I prefer the cold weather. One can always put on a jacket and warm up.

Only three more months until autumn.
