For instance, common stuff your peers did at 13 that you didn't end up doing until around 17/18.
1) I got my first kiss at 17 going on 18. While some of my peers got theirs at like 13.
2) I got my first job at 22 (if tutoring counts). while others were like 19 when they got theirs.
3) I learned to ride a bike at age 10, while some kids learned around 8.

shareI never got my license until I was 21 and out of college. Several of my friends bought sports cars but they were out of my budget, so I bought a Vega - (OK - I can hear the laughter), but it was cute for the 70's and had a manual transmission - so I PRETENDED it was a sports car. Funny thing is I had never driven a stick in my life but I was determined to drive it home by myself. My parents car was not an automatic, so I understood what had to be done with a clutch.
Fortunately, I didn't strip the gears. I do remember the first time I had to stop on a slight incline and had a minor panic attack.
Yeah, driving never interested me. Even though I had to walk a mile to the nearest bus stop😣.
I was 24 when I finally took my test.
WAS 26 WHEN I GOT MY DRIVER'S LICENSE.
WAS ALMOST 30 WHEN I LEARNED TO SWIM(SO I COULD TEACH MY DAUGHTER)

Smoking pot.
I did not smoke in high school (9/66 - 6/69), nor did I smoke for almost my entire freshman year in college.
My first time was during the very first Earth Day - April 22, 1970. The Chambers Brothers were playing on the mall underneath the Washington Monument. Included was a fifteen minute version of Time Has Come Today. It was great.
Oh yeah, I have more than made up for that delay during the following fifty years. ;-)

share Geez! I was a late bloomer. i still haven't done some of these things, like smoking pot. Never. But nobody believes me. Never smoked regular cigarettes at all even though I grew up in a family of human chimneys.
Didn't have a steady boyfriend until I was out of college.
Never went into a bar until I was 21. The drinking age was 21 in my state (PA) and it still is. I knew I'd never get past the doorman. When we were finally 21, my best friend and I would go into the local college bar/hangout and we'd always get carded. Then we'd see kids in there that we KNEW were freshmen.
