No. But I loved her in ' Snow White and the Huntsman ' all the same. She was so deliciously miscast that she elevated what was otherwise a mediocre film.

No.

My prediction is that she’s gonna get an overwhelming “no” majority.

I thought the same thing about the Jeff Goldblum, Nicolas Cage and Mark Wahlberg polls. Boy was I wrong.

Yes, she absolutely is a good actress.
She was excellent in Speak and The Cake Eaters.
She was very good in Panic Room, Into the Wild, Adventureland, The Runaways, Personal Shopper, On the Road, The Yellow Handkerchief, Cafe Society, Certain Women, Still Alice, Welcome to the Rileys and the short film, Cutlass.
She was good in a bunch of other films like American Ultra, Camp X-Ray, Snow White and The Huntsman, The Safety of Objects, Anesthesia, Equals and Zathura.
AND she won the Best Supporting Actress Cesar Award, France's equivalent of an Oscar, for her performance in Clouds of Sils Maria.
In fact, she is the only American actress to ever win a Cesar Award.
Finally, even though I have yet to see the film, every review that I've read states that she was very good as Jean Seberg in Seberg.

Unfortunately, most people only equate her name with those crappy Twilight films, thus they don't realize that she is indeed, a good actress.
That is why it won't surprise me if she gets voted bad in this poll.

I've seen her in a few things but I've only ever liked her in Panic Room. Now she seems miserable in everything including Charlie's Angels.

reply

I have not seen Charlie's Angels nor Underwater, thus I cannot comment on them.

That being said, I've listed 21 films plus one short where I felt that she was either excellent, very good or good.
In none of those films does it seem that she is miserable.
I'm curious though, how many of those films have you seen?

Since I doubt that you've seen Cutlass, which was directed by Kate Hudson, I'm gonna go ahead and post the link ...

It's only fifteen minutes long and is, in my opinion, quite enjoyable.
Btw, besides Kristen, the cast includes Virginia Madsen, Dakota Fanning, Kurt Russell and Chevy Chase.
(Hey, what's a Chevy doing in a film about an Olds Cutlass?)

I've seen her in:
Panic Room
Zathura
Jumper
Into the Wild
What Just Happened (Completely forgot I even saw this)
Adventureland
On the Road
Twilight
New Moon
Charlie's Angels

If ckid didn't post his thoughts I totally voted thinking I was voting on Kristen Dunst. Still a no but damn I’m a dumb.

reply

She was always looks like she’s uncomfortable. Like she’s holding in a fart or something. I don’t judge her from twilight and I’ve seen almost all her films except Angels and Seberg.
