Surprisingly, Pattinson was the highlight of this strange film.
Overall: 6/10
Two lovers and a bear (2016 TV): This is a fantastic Canadian movie set in the cold north starring Dane Dehaan and Tatiana Maslany who play the two lovers poetically, perfectly and emotionally. It Is my 2nd movie from this director and I’m really starting to love him. This one is about two burning souls who come together to make a leap for life and inner peace. My rating: 8/10
Pattinson is a hit and miss actor for me. That’s why I was so surprised that he was actually the highlight of the movie while sided by Dafoe who IS a legend and I always loved him too.
The Secret in Their Eyes (2005) - Good, but not quite what I was hoping for. (7/10)
At Close Range (1986) - Had some good parts but overall didn't leave an impression on me. (6/10)
Triangle (2009) - Really liked it, better than I expected. It reminded me a little bit of Timecrimes. (8/10)
The Illusionist (2006) - Quite good. (8/10)
Applesauce (2015) - I really enjoyed this. I would have liked to have given it a higher rating but there was one ridiculous part that I just couldn't get past. (7/10)
American Hustle (2013) (7/10)
Bad Boys II (2003) - It was decent, not particularly great. (6/10)
Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973) - I thought it was better than most people do. (6/10)
The Great Escape (1963) - It was really good. At the beginning I was thinking it wasn't great and I was going to end up being disappointed, and I was wrong. (8/10)
Incendies (2010) - A really well-done movie. Dark and brutal story. Dare I say fun for the whole family? (8/10)
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019) - Liked it a good amount, more than the original. (7/10)
i watched applesauce a little over two years ago, & remember liking it quite a bit, though i always find tukel to be just a little annoying. i can't remember anything too specific in it, though, & now i want to re-watch it to see if i find whatever part your referring to as ridiclous.
i really like both triangle & timecrimes - more so time crimes, but both are fun.
She needed to make some space and when she read the first episode description she said “ I deleted that evil horror movie.” I was like “it’s a TV show! and a great one too!!“
