Sure the script is flawed, but it’s visually stunning and has some pretty awesome set pieces. It’s easily the best Alien sequel after Aliens and miles ahead of most of the other schlock that comes out these days.

It’s a mixture of unforgivably stupid moments and some nice concepts and visuals. It’s weaker than Alien 3 but better than Ressurection.

I think both Alien3 and, to a lesser extent, Alien Resurrection are both underrated.

I agree Prometheus is visually spectacular but the story left me completely unmoved.

Prometheus is the third worst movie I've ever seen The writing is the most important part of the movie for me. It turned me off on the Alien franchise.

I agree. I think people just want to compare it to the first Alien movie because Ridley Scott directed it.
