Local cinemas to open soon
In Australia, cinemas will be able to open soon with restricted numbers. The problem they have is lack of new releases. I'm hoping they decide to screen some classics in the interim.

shareThat would be cool if they aired some classics; I would love that!!!
shareIt would be fantastic. I reckon they'd get quite a few patrons too.
shareBut they will be restricted by smaller allowed in. Almost feels like a no-win to me.
I mean, they could charge even more to the people who can afford it while the rest of us simply can't go.
They should be able to make more money showing older films as the licensing shouldn't be as much, in theory.
shareI saw the IMAX rerelease of Apocalypse Now last summer and I wish they would do that with other classics.
shareThe drive ins in my area have been open for a couple weeks now. I would be all in for a classic double feature in place of new releases.
shareSadly I don't live near any drive ins
shareI actually worked at the last drive-in in my city. It closed in 1994.
We are so far north here that it doesn't get dark until about 10:30 - 11:00 pm in June that they had to start them quite late. I don't know if that's the reason that we closed but I did hear it mentioned.
