The proof is in the pudding

Now what the hell does that mean

reply

i've always heard the full phrase as 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating,' which i guess means that a plan or idea is only truly tested once implemented.

reply

Haha now that’s funny

"The proof of the pudding is in the eating"

reply

And what the hell does that mean

reply

You have to eat it to know if it's any good.

reply

Haha there’s a reason I love you

reply

You'd love my pudding as well!😘

reply

Well right now you turned me into melted butter

reply

I think you mean 'keep pudding proof in there until everyone believes the story..'

reply

I think it means no matter how crazy something may seem, if the end result is what you want, you're good.

reply

It's when you dump some Jack Daniels in the Snack Pack

I’ll tell you one that I’ve had wrong for most of my life until recently:

“Making ends meet”

For some weird reason I always, and now quite embarrassingly, thought it was “making ends meat.”

I thought it was when you are poor you can’t eat good steaks and have to settle for the worst cuts of meats. 🤣

reply

I thought the same thing

reply

I’m glad to know I’m not alone!

reply

Funny this is, I’m a terrible griller so they all end up well done and covered in teriyaki sauce anyway

reply

It would make more sense as "the proof is in the putting," as in putting something to work.

reply

Oh you mean for golf

reply

No not putting balls, but like "putting ideas into action" if you will
