NFL might suck this year

What worth everyone getting arrested .

reply

4 players - seems like every year a few of the idiots do something incredibly stupid. If it was my team it would be 1st offense- suspension w/o pay and 2nd - you're out without any option to be picked up by another team for at least a year. Of course there are some offenses where they don't get a second chance.

reply

I agree with you ! There is honestly nothing I could add up your answer to improve it. I don’t know how the without pay works for contracts , but it’s nice to talk about some football

reply

Yes it is. I was enjoying the XFL as a post Super Bowl fill-in and then the virus hit. Bummer.
It could be as simple as including it in all contracts, but then the entire NFL would have to be on board and some, (probably most), owners would balk at that.

reply

I’m a big wrestling fan. I have been for about 30 years. I’m always interested in some other football league , what really bugged me about the xfl this time was that it quit so quick

reply

I know - my husband and I were watching it and we saw some pretty good games with decent talent. We thought it was somewhere between top notch college ball and the NFL. Did you notice a few of the players were picked up by teams in the recent draft?

reply

I think PJ walker was the big star this time around. I think when it comes to football Vince likes doing the logos and the team names, but when it comes to actually following through he’s got nothing

reply

I was really enjoying xfl

reply

just a normal nfl off season.

reply

I like sports and enjoy NFL to a great degree, but I get sick of the deification, the incredible fascination, so many people have with this silly diversion involving so few people making so much $$ who seem to have little sense of how fortunate they are and how humble they should be. Yes, the League tries to spin it to a better look, and some individuals are genuinely humanitarian with their status, but I'm not buying I should spend the majority of my adult life slaving over the fortunes of a football team.

reply

Really no different than any form of entertainment or entertainers, for that matter. For the most part they are all overpaid and as you mentioned some are very philanthropic and involved in their communities and then there are others who are jerks.

I play Fantasy Football also, so I get pretty involved when the season starts.

reply

NFL seems like a pipe dream for 2020.

reply

I'm optimistic - if anyone can figure out how to bring a full season of a major sport back, it will be the NFL. I think they will even have some fans in the stadiums, especially outdoor venues - Miami already has a plan and it makes sense.

reply

Certainly nothing promising about Green Bay's draft picks this year.

reply

Get rid of the bad blood in the league.

reply

The players will have to get used to having no fans. Complete silence, except for crushing blows, and bones breaking.

reply

I believe they can have spectators. Miami has proposed 15,000 in a stadium that holds 70,000. I think that will be safe.

reply

I agree

reply

And I think if the stadiums have that many people I see the networks figuring out a way to amplify the crowd noise so it will seem louder than it is - for the players and TV viewers.

reply

I watched UFC the other day. No fans, it was weird. You could hear everything

reply

I'll bet it was. With no background noise they will have to bleep out what some of the players say - lol.

reply

Not only that, you could hear every punch and kick

reply

They've sucked for years now.

Before Trump.
