Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. I'd seen several movies of his, before I heard his real-life Aussie accent, I'd thought he was American or Canadian.

Australian actors tend to be very good at Brit, American, or other accents. I think they know that if they want to crack Hollywood, they have to be able to sound like other nationalities.

Liam Neeson plays a hillbilly in Next of Kin (1989) along with Patrick Swayze. Liam's accent was so amazing. When I was in college we quoted that movie to death.

I thought Ben Caplan did great job with his accent in Band Of Brothers.

Weird my first thought wasn’t him( Hugh Laurie) because he did great as an American and he is my favorite tv actor.

Anyway the first who came to my mind was Johnny Depp as English in Pirates of the Caribbean. I really thought he was British when I watched him in that film.

He plays author Thomas Wolfe, who was originally from Asheville, North Carolina, a place I've been to half a dozen times.
