shareThey won't legalize it here in MN, for some reason. I introduced my parents to it last year because they were dealing with some health issues.
My mom didn't enjoy it, but my dad loved it because it helps him sleep through the night. He can't even sleep in a bed anymore because he's had so many back/neck/knee problems.
Because of the opiate crisis it's near impossible for people who actually need pain meds to get them anymore..
Unfortunately I lost my hookup so now he's trying CBD oils which he says isn't working that well for him. I haven't smoked for years myself, but it pisses me off he can't get something as simple as some pot for his issues.
Legalize it universally already. If you can go out to a bar and drink legally in public there's absolutely zero reason you shouldn't be able to get high in your own house where nobody is being harmed whatsoever...

Canβt you get your green card there? I know the laws are wack in some states. In GA they medicinally legalized it for certain illnesses, but refuse to put any medical dispensaries in the whole state, so even if your doc writes you a script, you have to illegally cross state lines to get it filled. Stupid. On the bright side, they decriminalized it, but so far only in Atlanta, not the whole state which is also stupid and unfair.
Look into your state laws. If your folks have health problems they may easily be able to get a green card.
You can get a medical use card in MN but it's for liquid THC of some sort. You can't get the physical plant in this state.
I have actually advised my dad to look into this, but obviously he plans on holding off going into a hospital right now for that.
I have no idea how the medicinal liquid THC stuff works, or how well, but it would be worth a shot for him. He's had multiple surgeries and his issues are very well documented, so getting approved shouldn't be much of an issue.
If the card allows him to cross state lines to buy weed, that would be at least something, but a drive to Colorado isn't exactly convenient for a 72 year old man who doesn't travel well. Lol
I hope it works out for you and your family. Youβre right, all these separate state laws are ridiculous and hopefully will be rectified sooner than later.
