Mel Gibson is a gifted director

Braveheart and Apocalypto are two of the greatest adventure films of all time. He has a keen perfectionist attention to detail and an ability to direct action like no one else.

reply

Sugar Tits is a decent actor too.

reply

Haha!

reply

So what. He repels me, and I don't want to watch anything he's touched.

And no, I'm not boycotting his work through any sense of outrage, this is a purely emotional reaction. You say "Mel Gibson", I feel "Ick, change the channel".

reply

Why does he repel you, because he’s a piece of shit person? If you used that as a rubric for rating celebrities you’d boycott Hollywood. Forget about who these artists are as people, Walt Disney was a flagrant anti Semite and a racist, Alec Baldwin is pretty awful if you heard how he spoke to his daughter, Bill Cosby and Polanski were rapists.

reply

I agree he is a very good director. I would also add that Passion of the Christ and Hacksaw Ridge are excellently directed too. The Man Without a Face is his weakest film, in my opinion, but still pretty good.

reply

Nice, which should I watch first between Christ and ridge? Been wanting to see both. Man Without a Face haha I saw that in theaters.

reply

I would say watch Passion of the Christ first and then Hacksaw Ridge.

reply

Yeah

reply

in the passion of the christ, i could literally feel that nail going thru my feets

the hands, not so much

reply

The most cringe worthy movie I've ever seen. I flinched all the way thru it.

reply

Apocalypto is a masterpiece and Braveheart is great too. I've been a fan of Mel as long as I've been watching movies. Loved him in Dragged Across Concrete recently.

reply

But he's a shitty human being .

reply

What is his litany of sin?
