Some will not, some will. But those that re-open will have diminished audiences as long as the virus is floating around, and people are nervous about being in crowds.
Quite a few movie theaters will go under, same for a lot of businesses.
They will need to start paying people to actually watch movies on their theatres.
shareJust like restaurants and bars - when will people feel comfortable going to them again? Personally I think when there is a proven effective treatment available - you catch it, take a pill, get better - is when people will start going to these places again.

shareThey'll try to open them in the summer, but with no movies to show and people still being terrified of the virus, it won't matter. Virus resurges in the Fall. New quarantine continues through the winter. Rinse repeat till the vaccine arrives. Virus mutates. It all starts again.
