Tv series that stand the test of time

Miami vice

I bought the box set and have seen the first 7 episodes. It still looks great and the music is awesome.

I will watch the entire 111 episodes while the corona virus is still here.

X-files. Just caught a few episodes from Season 1, its surprising how well it has held up after 27 years.

X-files for sure. I rewatch the entire series about every 2 years.

That´s dedication. I find it hard to get back into the mythology episodes, especially as the series goes on.

Star Trek IF you can overlook the bad science. I was a Trekkie before studying physics and astronomy and after. Like a lot of geeks, it just doesn't matter.

Kolchak the Night Stalker - for such a short run it still has a solid fanbase over forty years later.

I hated Miami Vice even when it was originally on the air when I was a kid, though my older brother liked it. It tried way too hard to be "cool;" style over substance. I found it boring, with unlikable characters and shitty music as a "bonus."

On the other hand, Magnum, P.I. was (and is) my all-time favorite TV show, so it's definitely stood the test of time for me. Others include (in no particular order):

Seinfeld
Star Trek
The Dukes of Hazzard (excluding most of seasons 5 and 7)
Sledge Hammer
Columbo
Family Ties
Beavis and Butt-Head
Looney Tunes / Merrie Melodies

Nothing else comes to mind, but here are a few that I liked as a kid but haven't stood the test of time for me:

Knight Rider
MacGyver
The A-Team
